Two Nassau police officers were honored Monday for their heroic act to save a man's life back in May.
Officers Salvatore Milone and Robert Polzer saved the life a Franklin Square man at a local restaurant. With the help of police medics Ryan Murphy and Jason Katz, the team used an AED to revive the unconscious man.
"If it was not for the quick responses of these officers, their training and being calm under pressure in this situation, it could have been a very different outcome," says Kevin Mullick, a Nassau County Board of Trustees member.
The man spent two weeks at Winthrop Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
