Arrest made in Lanier County shooting death of Savion McRae

An arrest has been made in connection to the shooting death of 18-year-old Savion McRae. On Saturday, June 18, McRae and two others were shot while traveling in a vehicle in Lanier County.

Savion was pronounced dead on the scene.
On Wednesday, June 22, 18-year-old Shamond Jaquavious Campbell, of Douglas, turned himself in. He is currently in the Coffee County Jail.

Campbell is charged with one count of felony murder and four counts of aggravated assault.
