Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Florence Ticknor; and his sister Ruth Ann Malcolm.

Eddie was raised on his family’s farm, grateful to learn the ins and outs of farming from his father and grandfather from a young age. Under their watchful instruction, he perfected the ability to drive his first tractor at the age of seven. He had a strong work ethic and was an irreplaceable asset to the family, farming beside his father and grandfather, and working alongside them at the Ticknor Family Meat Processing Plant. He was a member of Sandoval United Methodist Church. He was a member of the 5th Southern District Masonic Lodge of Sandoval, Patoka, Odin. He was a graduate of Sandoval High School and lived there for most of his life. After high school graduation, he earned a small plane pilot’s license, and upon completion of that, he went on to master everything he attempted to achieve. He was driven, and motivated and found fulfillment in working hard.  He proved that to be true in how he lived his life.

Eddie was highly skilled on so many levels. He was a graduate of Rend Lake College Heating and Cooling. Eddie built an accomplished career in the heating and cooling business. He founded Ticknor Heating and Cooling, a company to which he devoted his life with great passion, loyalty, and unparalleled dedication. Ticknor Heating and Cooling was the primary service provider to Casey’s General Stores in the surrounding states.

Eddie valued his family and was committed to the career he worked so tirelessly to build and maintain. His pride was evident in the work he did, which he considered to be an extension of his personal and familial life. Eddie had an exceptional work ethic, was well regarded in his field, and loved both his business and personal family dearly. He will be greatly missed by so many, and his spirit will live on through his legacy forever.
