CU Buffs add two players to 2023 recruiting class

A three-star receiver with two dozen scholarship offers and a talented offensive lineman have decided to play college football in Boulder.

On Monday, Colorado added two players to its commitment list for the class of 2023: receiver Wesley Greaves, from College Station, Texas; and offensive lineman Tyrone McDuffie from El Paso, Texas.

“Locked In!!” Greaves wrote on social media.

Greaves took an unofficial visit to CU last weekend. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder from A&M Consolidated High School, received a scholarship offer from CU earlier this month.

As a junior last season, Greaves caught 35 passes for 675 yards and eight touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.com. His offer list includes Air Force, Colorado State, SMU and Utah.

McDuffie made his announcement live on KTSM TV in El Paso. He doesn’t have a star rating on 247Sports or Rivals.com, but chose the Buffs over New Mexico, UTSA and UTEP. He has 10 total scholarship offers, according to 247Sports.com.

Listed at 6-foot-3, 303 pounds, McDuffie, who plays at Parkland High School, was in Boulder for an official visit last weekend. He received an offer from CU last fall and has continued to be recruited by the Buffs and new offensive line coach Kyle DeVan.

CU now has 15 players committed for the 2023 class, including seven from Texas.

Greaves is the third receiver on the list, along with Isaiah Hardge from St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) High School and Edward Schultz from Mission Viejo (Calif.) High School.

McDuffie is the third offensive lineman in the group, joining Naquil Betrand from Philadelphia and Drew Perez from Southlake, Texas.
