FBI agents and other law enforcement officers searched a home in Windham on Monday but would not release any details on the investigation.
People living on Glenwood Road in Windham said they were surprised to wake up Monday to a stream of cars heading into the neighborhood.
"We saw about a dozen cars over there," one neighbor said.
FBI agents could be seen entering and leaving the house at 5 Glenwood Road and removing boxes at times. Two vehicles were towed away from the property.
The FBI would only describe the search as court-authorized activity in connection with an ongoing investigation, but they wouldn't describe the nature of the investigation.
One neighbor said agents said there was no danger to the community, and residents said that while they were curious, they weren't concerned.
"Not concerned," resident Natasha Lupiani said. "I assume we'd have some information if there was a concern for our safety or anything."
Officials with the Drug Enforcement Administration said they were aware of the search but did not provide further comment.
