Missing 12-year-old girl found safe

An Emergency Missing Child Alert was issued Monday afternoon 12-year-old Daisha Pettus, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. (ALEA)

Update: Daisha Pettus has been found safe.

An Emergency Missing Child Alert was issued Monday afternoon for a 12-year-old Fairfield girl, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
ALEA officials and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Daisha Pettus was last seen Monday morning around 7:00 a.m. in the area of 48th Street in Fairfield and is believed to be in danger.
She was reportedly wearing an orange jumpsuit and a wig with black and green braids.
Pettus was described as Black, 5'3" in height and weighs around 103 pounds.
She has black hair and brown eyes.
