Hopkinsville’s Fourth of July fireworks show — billed as the Red, White & Oooh! — will be Monday evening at Ruff Park.
The free celebration starts at 6 p.m. with food truck eats, children’s games and live patriotic music. The fireworks start at 9:15 p.m.
The food vendors will include Chef Jaime, Holiday Burgers, Vansauwa’s, Bren’s Snack Shack, Kona Ice and Heather’s Homemade Ice Cream.
The first 500 children in attendance will receive a treat from Kona Ice or Heather’s — courtesy of Hillcrest Baptist Church, which co-sponsors the event with WKDZ/WHVO radio.
Activities will include bouncers, balloon art, face painting, a dunking booth and field games. Patriotic music, by Christian music artist Eric Horner, of Paducah, will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Parking will be available at Hopkinsville Community College, Christian County High School and various locations around North Drive, according to an announcement from Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation. No parking will be allowed inside Ruff Park.
In addition to the Hopkinsville’s event, two other fireworks displays are slated in the region.
