In just under five hours by car from Park City, you can arrive in southern Utah for a weekend escape to sunny St. George. As one of the fastest-
growing cities in America, St. George boasts no shortage of things to do, places to eat, and adventures to be had within and just beyond the city limits: some of the most famous natural beauty in the American West can be found right outside St. George, from Zion National Park to the Mojave Desert. This town has it all for those who want to explore the red-rock landscape and also enjoy some R&R.

Where to Stay
St. George’s new-ish boutique hotel that’s all the buzz is The Advenire, an Autograph Collection hotel by Marriott—the second in the collection for Utah; Hotel Park City is the first. Completed in 2020, the 60-room hotel is located in historic downtown, and the aesthetic can best be described as modern meets pioneer chic. The property is warm and welcoming, much like St. George itself. Guest amenities include a bike valet for mountain bike enthusiasts and a signature cocktail bar where talented mixologists shake up Utah spirits. A concierge service is also available to help guests take advantage of nearby activities like golfing, horseback riding, and even helicopter tours. Furry friends are allowed (additional deposit required), and electric car charging stations are available (good news for road-trippers). And did we mention the rooftop hot tub and scenic deck with firepits? It’s the perfect perch to watch the sunset and soak it all in.

Wood.Ash.Rye
Located inside The Advenire, this hip eatery pays homage to the area’s pioneer past with its name and atmosphere—wood for warmth, ash for cleaning, and lye ... well, that was changed to rye to fit the bar theme. Featuring regionally sourced ingredients that rotate with each season, the American cuisine is elevated and comforting—think grilled romaine salad, chile verde, mushroom pappardelle, prime rib, and burgers with house-made potato brioche buns—the type of fuel you crave after a day of high-octane activities. Carb-loaders, take note: the in-house bakery makes fresh bread and pasta daily.
