The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is investigating a death in Sharpes on Monday evening.
The scene is along South Ridgewood Drive, not far from North Cocoa Boulevard.
Deputies say a resident called 911 at 11 a.m. telling them a man had told the caller that he killed someone.
Crime scene units are still collecting evidence.
The tape is surrounding this house that's been the center of this investigation.
Deputies found the man in question after a search and then found the victim dead in a home.
"It is a shock. It's a very big shock," Laura Parker, a neighbor said.
Residents in this Sharpes neighborhood were on edge Monday morning after law enforcement units crowded the area.
Investigators have been piecing together what lead to a person's death.
"I just hope that they're able to figure it out and figure it out quick for our sakes," Parker said.

"Scary for my family at the moment," a neighbor, who wanted to remain anonymous, said.
The neighbor we spoke with also didn't want to show his face on camera.
He told us he believes he saw the suspect walking through the neighborhood before it turned into a crime scene.
"Around maybe two or three times, he was coming up and coming down and in that moment, I saw the guy go inside my neighbor's house. I tried calling my neighbor's house and he didn't answer the phone," the neighbor said.
Homicide and crime units spent much of the day collecting evidence and interviews from possible witnesses.
We're waiting to learn the names of the man in question and the person dead.
The sheriff says no one has been arrested as of now.
