LBL Quota Deer Hunt Applications Open July 1

Online applications will be open the month of July for firearm quota deer hunts at Land Between the Lakes.

Beginning July 1, those interested can visit lblquotahunt.usedirect.com for the process. Fees are $10.

These quota hunts don’t just provide unique recreational opportunities within the west Kentucky and northwest Tennessee regions. They also help maintain healthy deer populations across the area.

LBL offers both adult and youth quota deer hunts. In Kentucky, youths aged 15 and younger have windows of November 5-6 and December 17-18. Adults have November 18-20. In Tennessee, youth aged 6-to-16 have quota hunts run November 5-6 and December 17-18, while adult hunts roll October 28-30 and November 18-20.

Kentucky’s quota hunt permits will be for one deer of either sex, unless an antlered buck has as already been harvested by any means in LBL.

Tennessee quota hunt permits will allows two deer, including only one antlered buck, unless an antlered buck has already been harvested by any means in LBL.

Deer harvested at LBL count toward statewide bag limits, except on youth quota hunts.

All youths drawn for the November quota hunt may also hunt in December, using those same hunt areas they were drawn to use.

Youth hunters must possess a state-approved hunter safety card. Youths not required to have a hunter safety card must carry a signed safety verification form, which is also available the LBL website.

One adult over the age of 21 must accompany and supervise each youth. All hunters must carry on their person the following items: an LBL quota hunt permit, an appropriate state hunting license, a hunter
use permit and a hunter safety card as required by state regulations.
