Colorado Springs Airport (COS) Director of Aviation Greg Phillips has been elected to the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) national Board of Directors. AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing public-use commercial and general aviation airports.

“To join the AAAE Board of Directors is not only a tremendous honor, but an opportunity to ensure Colorado Springs’ voice is heard on a national level,” said Phillips.

Phillips has served as the Director of Aviation at COS since January of 2017. Phillips is the past President of the Northwest Chapter Board of Directors for AAAE and currently serves on several national aviation committees. In 2020, Phillips was recognized as the Airport Executive of the Year by the NW Chapter of AAAE.

AAAE's 9,000 members represent some 875 airports and hundreds of companies and organizations that support the airport industry. AAAE delivers a wide range of industry services and professional development opportunities, including training, conferences, and a highly respected accreditation program.

Colorado Springs Airport’s small size means small commutes, small lines, and small waits. It means friendliness, safety, and comfort. It also means big options on daily nonstop flights and hundreds of connections worldwide. Colorado’s small airport was named one of the Best Workplaces for 2021 by the Gazette.
