Ellsworth Legionnaire receives Citizenship Award

The Department of the Nebraska American Legion, recently presented Robert (Bob) Miller of Ellsworth, NE,  the American Legion District 4 Citizenship Award.  Department Commander Dan Benes presented the award at the 104th Annual Convention in Columbus, NE,   June 23-26.

The Citizenship Award was presented to Mr Miller for his distinguised service by upholding the highest principles and traditions of the United States and a commendation for his accomplishments during the past year in the 4th District of the Nebraska American Legion.  He currently serves as the District 4 Chaplain and is the Senior Vice Commander of Alliance American Legion Post 7.   Bob is a United States Army Veteran, as well as a retiree from the Nebraska Army National Guard.

District 4 is comprised of 18 Legion Posts throughout western Nebraska with a membership of just over 800 Legionnaires.  Bob is a long time member of Alliance American Legion Post 7.
