PITTSBURGH — Sheetz will be looking to lower some pain at the pump by lowering some of its gas prices on select gas.

Unleaded 88 will cost $3.99 a gallon and E85 will cost $3.49 a gallon, effective immediately.

Unleaded 88 is approved by the EPA for use in vehicles for model years 2001 or newer, as well as light-duty trucks, SUVs and flexible-fuel vehicles.

E85 contains more ethanol (51%-83%) and is not compatible with all vehicles. It is designed specifically for flexible-fuel vehicles or FFVs.

In the Pittsburgh area, three stores have the discounted gas: 8500 Perry Highway, 5400 Campbells Run Road and 1000 Clairton Boulevard. There are also locations offering the deal in New Kensington, Moon, Bethel Park, Sewickley, Monroeville, Bridgeville, Washington, Glenshaw, Natrona Heights, Murrysville, Blairsville and Brownsville.

This offer will be available through the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Update: Cranberry was on the initial list of stores, but a spokesperson said due to repair issues, the fuel blends are currently not available at that store.

I guess none of you read they are lowering it on the 88 and the 87 which a lot of people use yes it's going to be 399 for the one that people use the most but still they don't have to do any of that so thank you Sheetzs I'm grateful I appreciate it

Regular gas is at 4.99 .That lower price is for gas with increased alcohol.Even in vehicles that supposed to be safe to use, I don't trust it.

How about lowering the price on what is used most?
