Albany Fire Chief earns two important appointments

ALBANY, GA – Albany Fire Chief Cedric Scott will be representing the City of Albany and Dougherty County with two new appointments.

Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John King appointed Chief Scott to the Insurance Services Office (ISO) Advisory Board. The ISO Advisory Board will assist Commissioner King and the State Fire Marshal with evaluating and settling concerns raised by Georgia communities undergoing ISO evaluations.

Chief Scott was also appointed to serve a three-year term as a member of the International Association of Fire Chief’s (IAFC) Emergency Management Committee by President and Chairman of the Board, Fire Chief Kenneth W. Stuebing. As a standing committee of the IAFC, the EMC is the IAFC’s point of contact for fire service emergency management issues.
