Drew Lee 375

Drew Lee, one-half of the “Justice & Drew” morning show on iHeartMedia news/talk KTLK-AM Minneapolis (1130), passed away unexpectedly over the weekend. A cause of death has not been revealed.

"This is the hardest thing that I have ever had to do in my entire radio career," co-host Jon Justice announced Monday morning (June 26) from a hospital room as he recovers from open-heart surgery. "I wish I could be there in studio, but I’m here to tell you that on Saturday afternoon my friend and your friend Drew Lee passed away. He was with his wife at the time. I hopefully will be coming home sometime today, but I had asked that I be the one to make this devastating and tragic announcement to you. Drew was my best friend… and I don’t need to tell you how special he was. It goes without saying that I am devastated. He will be tragically missed. Everybody here at iHeart is grieving. We ask for your prayers for Drew's family as they get through this difficult time."

Lee has been with the station since 2010, serving as Executive Producer and morning show co-host. He also co-hosted “The Minnesota Beercast” with Andrew Schmitt. Before joining KTLK, Lee served in programming roles at Journal Broadcast Group and Entercom.

A station web post read, “It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we have been informed of the passing of our friend and colleague Andrew Lee on Saturday, June 25. Join us at Twin Cities News Talk and iHeartMedia Minneapolis as we lift Drew’s wife and two children with our thoughts and prayers.”
