Three young women are facing criminal charges following a police chase Sunday.
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies responded around 3 p.m. to Yellowstone Drive in Henrietta for a menacing call. Deputies say two groups of girls were arguing. One group got into an SUV and the other moved to the front lawn of the home when the driver of the SUV nearly struck them, according to deputies.
The driver, they say, ignored their attempts to get them to stop. The driver took off toward Rochester, becoming involved in a minor crash at Celebration Drive and Mount Hope Avenue, before stopping on Glenwood Avenue off of Lake Avenue.
Mahogany King, 19, of Rochester is charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree reckless endangerment, and second-degree menacing: all misdemeanors.
Jayona Henderson, 19, and Tahjanaye Robinson, 22, both of Rochester, are charged with misdemeanor second-degree menacing.
Deputies say a juvenile was in the SUV, too.
