Florida teen motorcyclist dies in crash on Interstate 95 in Ormond Beach area

A Florida teen died in a motorcycle wreck on Interstate 95 near Ormond Beach, troopers said.

The 16-year-old Fort White boy was traveling southbound near the exit for Ormond Beach and Bunnell when he overcorrected, leaving the roadway and crashing into a guardrail just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The impact threw the boy from the 2011 Suzuki sportbike, and he died at the scene, troopers said. The boy was wearing a helmet, according to FHP.
