Geneva Co. car crash leaves 1 seriously injured after being trapped

SLOCOMB, Ala. (WDHN) — A two-vehicle car crash in Slocomb led to one being seriously injured and the roof of an SUV being cut off.

On Monday at around 7:06 a.m., Slocomb Fire-Rescue and Fadette VFD were sent to a two-vehicle crash with a victim possibly trapped on 4448 County Road 28.

When responders arrived on the scene, they found a vehicle on its side with 1 patient entrapped, according to Slocomb Fire and Rescue. The victim was then extracted using a special tool.

A survival flight helicopter responded and took the patient to a local hospital.

The patient is in serious but stable condition, SFD says. No one else was injured.
