Two arrested following drive-by shooting

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Two men have been arrested following a drive by shooting in Carbondale.

At about 3:35 a.m. Sunday, police say shots were fired from a dark colored sedan near the intersection of North Robert A Stalls Avenue and East Willow Street. No injuries were reported, but some property was damaged.

Investigating officers saw a car in the area that matched the description of the one involved in the shooting and initiated a traffic stop and found three guns inside of the vehicle.

Barron

The driver, 34-year-old Joshua Wooley, and a passenger, 29-year-old Bruce Barron, both of Carbondale, were both arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail.

Joshua Wooley faces charges including unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and driving while license suspended. Bruce Barron faces a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
