Three people killed in a two-vehicle car crash in Lafourche Parish early Sunday morning
Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that killed three people around 5 a.m. on Sunday on Louisiana Highway 308. The crash claimed the lives of Grant Gremillion, 47, of Sulphur; Ramiro Pineda-Perez, 44, of Berwick; and Alexander Vigil, 38, of Morgan City. Louisiana State Police reports show that Gremillion was traveling north on Louisiana Highway 308 while driving a 2015 Ford F-250. At the same time, Pineda-Perez was traveling south on State Highway 308 while driving a 2010 Chrysler 300. For reasons still under investigation, Gremillion crossed the centerline into the path of the Pineda-Perez. Pineda-Perez attempted to avoid collision by steering to the right but was struck by the Ford pickup truck.Gremillion was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Pineda-Perez and his passenger, Vigil, were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, but they both suffered fatal injuries. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. A toxicology sample was collected from both drivers and submitted for analysis. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No other information about the incident is currently available at this time. Troop C has investigated 24 fatal crashes resulting in 28 deaths in 2022.

Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that killed three people around 5 a.m. on Sunday on Louisiana Highway 308.
