DETROIT – One person is dead after a dispute between neighbors escalated into a fatal shooting as a man and woman were driving away from a Detroit apartment complex Sunday night, June 26, WDIV Local 4 reports.

Detroit police arrested a suspect after the shooting happened around 11 p.m. Sunday at an apartment complex at 6 Mile and Telegraph roads, the report said. A man and a woman were leaving the complex in a vehicle when a suspect opened fired at them, resulting in one death; it’s unclear whether the man or woman died.

The vehicle continued down the road for about a mile before crashing, the report said.

The identities of the victims and the suspect have not been released. This case is under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
