Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) ripped into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after footage emerged of the Democrat seemingly elbowing Flores’s young daughter at the congresswoman’s swearing-in ceremony.
“I am so proud of my strong, beautiful daughter for not allowing this to faze her. She continued to smile and pose for the picture like a Queen,” Flores tweeted.
“No child should be pushed to the side for a photo op. PERIOD!!”

In the footage, which has since gone viral, Pelosi can be seen waving over a pastor.
Flores’s daughter gets close to Pelosi, and the Democrat responds with an elbow that appears to move the young girl.
The young girl was stoic after the incident, never made eye contact with Pelosi, and posed for the picture.
Pelosi’s team has tried its best to play down the incident.

“It’s sad to see ‘news outlets’ that know better misrepresent the Speaker’s effort to ensure Rep. Flores’ daughters wouldn’t be hidden behind her in all of the photos of such an important moment for their family,” Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, tweeted.
