Allison Brummell of Torrington Signs with Chadron St. for Track

Torrington track athlete Allison Brummell will continue her career at the collegiate level at Chadron State in Nebraska. Brummell's specialty is the triple jump and she won the 3A outdoor state championship last month in Casper with a leap of 35 feet 6 inches. She also took 8th place in the long jump at 15-6.5 and 9th in the high jump as she cleared 4-8. Brummell took 2nd in the triple jump at the state indoor championship at 35 6.75 and placed 8th in the high jump at 4-10.

In her junior year, she took 2nd at the 3A state outdoor meet in the triple jump at 35-7.5 and was 3rd in the high jump at 5 feet event. Brummel also took 6th in the long jump at the state meet and was on Torrington's 4x100 relay team that took 3rd.

Chadron State is a Division II school that plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
