Two safe after tree falls on tent at Crawford State Park

Gardiner, Kansas residents Al and Cindy Medina say they feel glad to be alive after a tree fell onto their tent at over the weekend at Crawford State Park.

Neither was hurt.

Al says he thinks the frame of his 1960s-era canvas tent saved them.

Cindy says it was a scary night but, other than the loss of the tent, they are managing to salvage most of their belongings.

Best of all, as Cindy said, “We’re alive.
