UPDATE:
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has labeled the death investigation as a homicide. The GBI and the Cordele Police Department are asking for the public's help with recent sightings of Walker.
The agency says she was last seen in Cordele walking around the intersection of E 16th Avenue and S 5th Street at 9 P.M. on Saturday, June 25.

An investigation is underway after a woman was found deceased behind a Cordele home Sunday.
On June 26, the Cordele Police Department requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to assist with a death investigation.
The GBI says that police found 60-year-old Johnnie Marie Walker, a.k.a "Red," dead in the backyard of a home located in the 300 block of 11th Avenue East just before 3:30 p.m.
Cordele police say that the circumstances of Walker's death are uncertain at this time.
The GBI Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy.
