REDDING, Calif. —
Redding Police Department says a woman was arrested Monday, June 27, after she intentionally crashed her car into a police vehicle.
Officers say Ashley Guthrie, 34 of Redding, was driving dangerously near Hartnell Ave. and Churn Creek Rd. just after midnight.

When RPD tried to pull over the vehicle, they say Guthrie refused to stop. She later stopped in the middle of the road.
Another marked police car showed up on scene to assist. Guthrie looked at the new vehicle and accelerated toward it.

Guthrie hit the police car, causing damage to both vehicles.

RPD says she refused to cooperate with authorities, and K9 Otto was deployed to assist with the arrest.
Guthrie sustained injury to her shoulder, and was treated at a local hospital.

She was later booked into Shasta County Jail on charges related to evasion, assault, impaired driving, and resisting arrest.
