Millie Bobby Brown is undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s hottest stars. With only one season of Stranger Things left, there’s no doubt that the young British actor will soon have plenty of offers on the table. Could one of them be from Star Wars?

According to the UK’s Daily Mirror, Brown and her father have already talked with Disney executives about joining the franchise. Her father and manager, Robert, is said to be close friends with franchise supremo Kathleen Kennedy.

This info comes from an anonymous source who says that Disney is keen to capitalize on Brown’s popularity with younger audiences, suggesting that a figure of “£12million minimum” would be offered; that’s about $14.7 million US.

“Millie is on Disney’s radar for the new Star Wars projects,” the source told journalist Halina Watts. “She’s had contact with Kathleen, who is aware of her desire to feature in a movie or play a central role in one of the new TV projects for Disney Plus.”

Could Millie Bobby Brown jump from Stranger Things to Star Wars?

Disney and Lucasfilm have several upcoming Star Wars projects in the works, and there’s no indication whether Brown would appear in an existing franchise such as The Mandalorian or something new.

At the cinema, Taika Waititi and Patty Jenkins are both working on Star Wars movies; Jenkins’ project is based on the Rogue Squadron games and novels. Rian Johnson and Kevin Feige also have movie projects in the hopper. Meanwhile, Andor, Tales of the Jedi, Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew, and Lando are all planned for Disney+.

Brown may be a good fit for another Disney+ show called The Acolyte. Announced in 2020, the “female-centric” series is being worked on by Leslye Headland, co-creator and executive producer of the Netflix series Russian Doll. The series will be set 100 years before The Phantom Menace and take viewers to a “galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.”

No matter where she ends up, however, Disney is said to be willing to pay big money to ensure that they secure Brown as their next leading star. Per the Mirror:

"The Disney executives know just how much of an icon she is already for the 10 to 30-year-old audience and what that brings in terms of appeal. She could easily take home $15m for a first film or series. And she doesn’t need to audition – it’s more a case of how the director and her bond. She has the gravitas to hold down the lead for that universe."

Millie Bobby Brown will return as Eleven when the final two episodes of Stranger Things 4 drop on Netflix on July 1. On the Star Wars side of things, you can now watch the full Obi-Wan Kenobi series over on Disney+.
