John Lennon had a long list of extramarital affairs -one of which was caused by his "greatest love," Yoko Ono.
For years even after his death, Lennon remains a controversial figure when it comes to his family and love life. Out of the issues he faced, his relationship with Ono took the most spotlight as some of The Beatles' fans believed she caused the band's breakup.
But Ono actually played a huge role in making Lennon have an affair with his assistant, and it was something she regretted.
The trailer for the new documentary, "The Lost Weekend: A Love Story," revealed that the late The Beatles member had an affair with his assistant, who was 10 years his junior.
In a past interview with Variety, the then-22-year-old May Pang said Lennon's wife originally set them up. She had a relationship with him for more than a year in 1972.
"Yes, Yoko did approach me, and I thought it was insane. I told her I wasn't interested at all. They were having problems in their marriage; they weren't talking to each other. But John spontaneously decided to go to L.A. on his own and asked me to go with him," Pang said, per ET Canada.
Yoko, at that time, had no idea that they were falling in love deeper than expected. She was also clueless that they left to have their "Lost Weekend."
Lennon used the term whenever he talked about his outings in Los Angeles with Pang alongside Micky Dolenz, Keith Moon, Ringo Starr, Alice Cooper, and Harry Nilsson.
During the interview years ago, Pang also added that she decided to speak up as people continuously took her narrative. She then noted that Lennon once told her that people were going to lie about their relationship.
Yoko Ono Regretted Setting Them Up
After Ono realized Lennon had fallen in love with Pang, she did her best to win him back.
In 1974, however, Ono told The Beatles members that she wanted a divorce. Lennon told Pang that he would be a free man in six months.

But their whirlwind romance soon came to an end and gave way to Ono-Lennon's love story once again.
"Let's put it this way: My time with John might have been short, but everything during it was monumental. I was there when he jammed with Paul for the last time... I played tambourines with Mal Evans. We saw UFOs together," Pang went on.
