Starting Friday, demonstrators gathered in several Wisconsin cities over the weekend to protest the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on abortions.
It overturned the 1973 Roe V Wade decision on a six-to-three vote last week.
Hours later, about a thousand people gathered for a rally at the State Capitol in Madison.
There were additional demonstrations in Milwaukee, La Crosse, and other Wisconsin cities.
Pro-Life Wisconsin communications director Anna DeMeuse said her organization is “rejoicing in this decision.”
Last week’s ruling means the individual states will decide on the legality of abortions.
