BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) is investigating the homicide of a 50-year-old man that occurred 0n Sunday, June 26, at approximately 10:05 p.m.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced Berry dead.
“The preliminary investigation suggests the victim and a separate male were involved in an argument that was domestic in nature,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald said. “The suspect shot the victim then fled the scene with a female family member of the victim.”
Currently, there is no one in custody.

This is Birmingham’s 61st murder investigation of 2022, including five justifiable death investigations.
