Pair seriously hurt in rollover crash near Stanley
STANLEY, N.D. (KMOT) – A Minnesota man suffered life-threatening injuries and another was hurt as well when a vehicle left the roadway early Monday morning, just south of Stanley, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Investigators said the driver, a 19-year-old man from Worthington, Minnesota, was headed east on 61st Street NW around 12:30 a.m. when he passed through the intersection with Highway 8 and lost control on the gravel roadway.
The patrol said the vehicle vaulted off the edge of a south approach, rolled multiple times and came to rest on its passenger side.
The driver suffered life-threatening injuries, and his passenger, a 19-year-old man from Wilmont, Minnesota, was seriously hurt.
Neither man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.
