Greensboro police arrest suspect in Orlando Street homicide

One person is in jail after an 18-year-old was shot and killed Monday. According to Greensboro police, Anthony Tyrone Nelson, 45, is charged with first-degree murder after the shooting death of 18-year-old Kamrean Locklear. Officers were called to the 1600 block of Orlando Street at 1 a.m. Monday regarding the shooting. When they arrived at the scene they found Locklear, dead of an apparent gunshot wound. Nelson was taken into police custody on Tuesday. The homicide investigation is ongoing, police said.

According to Greensboro police, Anthony Tyrone Nelson, 45, is charged with first-degree murder after the shooting death of 18-year-old Kamrean Locklear.

Officers were called to the 1600 block of Orlando Street at 1 a.m. Monday regarding the shooting. When they arrived at the scene they found Locklear, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

Nelson was taken into police custody on Tuesday.
