Jonesboro fire crews investigate “suspicious” house fire

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - An early morning house fire in Jonesboro is still under investigation.

According to Jonesboro dispatch, crews got a call just before 4:30 a.m., Monday, June 27, about a fire in the area of Puryear and West Monroe Street.

Fire crews at the scene said the house was abandoned and they didn’t believe anyone was inside at the time.

No injuries have been reported.

As of Wednesday, June 29, Assistant Fire Chief Marty Hamrick said they are still investigating the fire which they consider “suspicious”. They are trying to determine if anyone was involved.
