No injuries reported in Ottawa Co. house fire

Crews are on scene of a devastating house fire in Olive Township. Authorities say the home was empty at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — Crews are battling a fire at a home in Ottawa County Monday morning.

The home is on 120th Avenue near the intersection with Port Sheldon Street in Olive Township.

Authorities say the family who lives at the home was on vacation when the fire started, and no one was hurt.

According to state records, the home is also an active child care facility called Bri's Little Lambs, which passed all inspections in April 2021.

The fire is mostly extinguished, but the home sustained extensive damage. Crews believe the fire started in the garage.
