>> FRIENDS AND MEMBERS OF THIS COMMUNITY HAVE BEEN STOPPING BY ALL AFTERNOON, SOME LEAVING FLOWERS IN THE WOODS BEHIND ME WHERE THE CRASH HAPPENED. POLICE SAY THE HAPPENED BEFORE 1:00 THIS MORNING AFTER THE 19-YEAR-OLD DRIVER WENT OFF THE ROAD, SENDING THE CAR ROLLING INTO THE TREES. THAT DRIVER, AN 18-YEAR-OLD, AND A 17-YEAR-OLD ALL DIED AT THE SCENE. INVESTIGATORS SAY A FOURTH TEENAGER WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR AND GET TO THE HOSPITAL ON HIS OWN. I SPOKE WITH A FRIEND OF ONE OF THE TEENS WHO DIED IN THAT FRIEND TELLS ME THAT YOUNG MAN LOVED CARS AND DRIVING, SAYING HE CANNOT BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED. >> NOW THAT HE IS GONE, IT IS SUPER HARD FOR ME. Three teenagers are dead and another is seriously injured following a crash that happened in central Massachusetts, according to state police.State police officials said the crash happened at about 12:50 a.m. Sunday in the area of 40 East Brimfield-Holland Road in Brimfield.Troopers who responded to the scene found a 2006 Nissan Sentra had gone off the road and rolled over approximately 40 feet into the wood line.The three teenagers who were pronounced dead at the scene are a 19-year-old Holland man, who is believed to have been driving the car; an 18-year-old West Brookfield man; and a 17-year-old Oxford boy.State police said the fourth teen who was in the vehicle, a 17-year-old Brookfield boy, had left the scene before troopers arrived. It was later determined that he went to Harrington Hospital in Southbridge by his own means to be treated for serious injuries.The 17-year-old boy who was killed in the crash is considered a juvenile, so his name will not be released, according to state police. The 18-year-old and 19-year-old who died in the crash are considered adults, but state police are not releasing their names at this time. State police said the name of the surviving teenager will not be released."Now that he's gone, it's just super hard for me," said Marc Matton, a friend of one of the victims. "I'm still trying to wrap my whole head around the fact that he's gone."Deborah Boyd, superintendent of the Tantasqua Regional School District, confirmed in a statement that two Tantasqua Regional High School students died in Sunday's crash."Our hearts go out to their families as well as our students and staff. Counselors will be available at the high school at the beginning of the week for any of our school community in need of support," Boyd said in a statement. "Thank you for your concern and for reaching out."The cause of the crash remains under the investigation of state troopers from the Sturbridge Barracks and members of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section and State Police Detective Unit for Hampden County.
