Even though it's the week before the Fourth of July weekend, that doesn't mean there aren't road closures to look out for.
In Kirksville, Country Club Drive from East Shepherd Avenue will be closed from June 27 -29 between the hours of 6 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Residents are asked to access Country Club Drive from Baltimore Street while this work is underway.
In other parts of Northeast Missouri, the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) crews work will begin on a bridge replacement project over the south Wyaconda River bridge in Scotland County starting June 27.
The project is located on Route C, approximately four miles west of Brock.
The bridge has been closed since June of 2020 after severe deterioration was found on the bridge, MoDOT did not give a timetable to when the bridge will be completed.
Also, starting June 27 crews will be performing a culvert replacement on Route K in Adair County.
The road will be closed at Missouri Route 6 to Missouri Route 11 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. until June 30.
As always try to avoid these routes when possible, keep your phone down, and watch your speeds while driving through construction zones.
