On June 10, Vernon Faucheaux, chair of the Tootsie Roll Drive, St. Theresa of Avila Knights of Columbus Council 2657's Tootsie Roll drive, presented a $4,631 check to the Arc of East Ascension.
The donations were collected by selling Tootsie Rolls outside the two Ralph's Market stores on La. 44 and the Gonzales Walmart.
The St. Theresa of Avila Council 2657 has been an annual contributor to the Arc since the mid-1960s, a news release said.
