The Porterville Police Department says Rogelio Martinez Jr., 21, and Jose Alfredo Tapia, 24, were arrested after they drove to a home in the 300 block of North Villa Street around 12:45 a.m. and fired several rounds before taking off.

Officers say they were able to catch up with Martinez around 3:33 a.m. following an enforcement stop and took him into custody. Tapia, police say, was later found in a home in the 300 block of North Villa Street, close to where the shooting took place, and was also arrested.

According to investigators, officers found a ghost gun during a search of Tapia’s home and say it’s likely the gun that was used during the shooting.
