Kearns woman killed in two-vehicle crash in Idaho

EMMETT, Idaho — A Kearns woman has died after being hit by a car while on a motorcycle in Idaho Saturday.
According to Idaho State Police, the 39-year-old Kearns woman was a passenger in a motorcycle when a Jeep hit them on Idaho State Highway 16 mile marker 110 around 4:08 p.m.
The Jeep was driving northbound as it crossed the center lane and hit the southbound motorcycle.
The Kearns woman was transported by air ambulance to a hospital but died of her injuries.
Police have not released the Kearns woman’s name.
The Jeep driver was identified as a 52-year-old woman from Emmett, Idaho, and the motorcycle driver was a 61-year-old man from Star, Idaho.
The press release did not give the status of either driver.
Both motorcyclists were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The Jeep driver was wearing her seat belt.
Police found evidence of alcohol in the Jeep, but the investigation is ongoing.
