Hubbard, the No. 658 recruit in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite, is being recruited at safety by Alabama. Mississippi State is recruiting Hubbard at receiver.

He was named the Class 6A Mr. Football after he finished with 2,069 yards passing, 1,258 yards rushing and 52 total touchdowns in 2021 for Ocean Springs.

He led Ocean Springs to an 11-1 record and the state quarterfinals. He's Alabama sixth 2023 commit.

He ran a 4.50 in the 40-yard dash an at Alabama camp, Rivals reported. Hubbard also held offers from Southern Miss, Tulane, Florida Atlantic, Navy, Louisiana-Monroe, Troy, Georgia State and Nicholls State.

"It was a good experience," Hubbard told the USA Today Network this week. "I learned a lot of new things. (Alabama) wanted me to come up there. They came down here during spring ball and wanted me to come work out as a safety. It was definitely a little different but apparently I did what they wanted to see."
