Suspicious death in Tigard resource center ruled a homicide

TIGARD, Ore. (KPTV) - Tigard Police announced that the suspicious death officers responded to Sunday afternoon has been ruled a homicide.

TPD said just before 1 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to the Just Compassion Resource Center which provides services to those experiencing houselessness. When they arrived, they found a man dead in the back yard of the property. Officers said the death was considered “suspicious.”

Police believe that a man identified as Harrison Douglas-Myles McBride, 26, killed the victim, 53-year-old William Edward Mayberry. Both men are said to have ties to the property and McBridge had recently trespassed.

McBride was booked into the Washington County Jail on the charge of second degree murder. He is also facing additional charges for unrelated probation violations.
