5: Flooding at National Parks
2News has been reporting from Yellowstone National Park since floods forced it to close earlier this month. On June 22, three of the parks gates reopened, giving visitors access to the South Loop area -- including Old Faithful.

National Park flooding jumped up in the week's trends once more after the National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Capitol Reef National Park. Dozens of people were stranded when trails washed away, and a group of hikers watched as their vehicles floated away in the flood. A Flash Flood Watch was issued Sunday for Capitol Reef, as well.

4: Utah's new state prison
Coming in at more than double what the Utah Legislature approved at the beginning of the project, the new Utah State Correctional Facility will cost taxpayers more than $1 billion. After construction continued more than a year after the state said it would, the prison is finally finished.

3: Warriors over the Wasatch Air & Space Show
After a multi-year hiatus, the Warriors Over the Wasatch Air & Space Show returned to the skies above Hill Air Force Base. Spectators at Saturday's show had some issues getting in due to slow lines -- which base authorities said were due in part to the surprising number of knives and glass bottles people were trying to bring in.

2: Teacher can't afford to live in Utah
The Bolingbrokes wanted to buy their first home near Cedar Valley High School, where Connor Bolingbroke teaches. Despite saving up for two years, they still couldn't afford a home in Utah County. Finally, Connor found a job with the same pay in an area with affordable houses -- just not in Utah.

1: Death and destruction on Interstate 80
It was a rough few days on I-80, as new fires spread quickly because of high winds, and multiple crashes happened all long the highway. The gusts also affected traffic, and one person died after authorities believe his motorcycle was blown off the road.
