Two people were injured in a crash off Interstate 81 near Mahanoy City on Sunday afternoon.
Around 12:30pm, Sunday, emergency personnel were called to the area of the Interstate 81 northbound off ramp in Mahanoy Township at the Mahanoy City exit for a motor vehicle accident with rollover.
The crash involved a GMC Terrain that went off of the Interstate in the area of the overpass of Route 54. The SUV landed on Route 54 on it's roof.
The two occupants of the vehicle were transported with unknown injuries to helicopters to further transport them to area hospitals.
Mahanoy City Fire, EMS, Police, along with State Police responded to the scene.
As of this posting, no other details were available on the crash.
