Sunday morning, a man riding a bicycle was hit by a vehicle.The collision occurred on State Road 559 near Sunset Lane and Auburndale in Polk County at 7:09 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol says. A 31-year-old man was headed southbound on SR-559 when he was struck by a sedan. The bicyclist was pronounced dead. The driver of the sedan did not have any injuries and has charges pending against them, according to troopers.
