Demonstrators gather outside of Jackson abortion clinic

One day after Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade

Demonstrations continued Saturday outside of Mississippi's only abortion clinic, the Jackson Women's Health Organization. Anto-abortion protesters were there trying to dissuade people who entered the clinic that remains open this weekend."This shouldn't even be a question that abortion is unthinkable." said anti-abortion supporter Elizabeth Smith. "The thought of murdering your unborn child regardless of the circumstances should be completely unthinkable."Meanwhile, abortion-rights supporters expressed their concerns about returning to a pre-Roe era."Abortions are not going to stop in the state of Mississippi. People are going to keep getting abortions it's just they're going to be unsafe," said Ren Allen an abortion-rights advocate. The owner of the Jackson Women's Health Organization says once the location in Jackson is shut down, her clinic in New Mexico will become their new home.
