UPDATE: Delaware State Police investigating inmate death at Sussex Correctional Institution

6/27 UPDATE: Delaware State Police have identified the inmate who died at SCI on Saturday as 52-year-old Terry Spence of Lewes.

This investigation remains ongoing.

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating after an inmate was found dead at Sussex Correctional Institution.

Police say the inmate died on June 25th. The victim was turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy. Identification of the victim is pending notification of next of kin.

At this time, the police are not releasing any further details. The investigation remains ongoing.
