The ninth annual Fort Atkinson Summer Charity Concerts series kicked off Wednesday, June 22, at Barrie Park.
The originally scheduled start on June 8 was canceled due to inclement weather as was its rain date, which was scheduled for the following Wednesday.
On June 22, Driftless played to a large, exuberant crowd.
Upcoming concerts are: July 6, featuring Sam Ness; July 20, featuring the John Masino Band; Aug. 10, featuring the Brothers Quinn, and Aug. 24, featuring “Matthew James and The Ramble.”
The free concerts are being held in partnership with the Fort Atkinson Kiwanis Club. They start at 6:30 p.m.
Concert attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, food and beverages.

Funds raised through sponsorships and other donations received during the concerts are used to support future opportunities to engage with the community’s youth.
