RICK: GOOD EVENING. I’M RICK VAN HOO. VICKI: WE BEGIN WITH BREAKING NEWS. A MAN WAS FOUND SHOT TO DEATH IN A CAR IN WEST LOUISVILLE. RICK: IT HAPPENED AROUND 7:00 TONIGHT IN THE PARKING LOT OF A BUSINESS AT 26TH AND WTES BROADWAY. THAT’S WHERE THE PARKLAND, CALIFORNIA AND RUSSELL NEIGHBORHOODS ALL CONVERGE. WLKY’S GLADYS BAUTISTA HAS BEEN GATHERING INFORMATION FROM THE SCENE. SHE JOINS US NOW LIVE FROM LMPD HEADQUARTERS. GLADYS, WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED? GLAD:YS VICKI, RICK, THE RCA THAT MAN WAS IN WAS TOWED AWAY FROM THE SCENE AROUND 9:00 P..M FOR FURTHER PROCESSING AERFT OFFICERS FOUND THAT MAN SHOT TO DEATH IN A C.AR WHILE MANY QUESTIONS DO REMAIN, POLICE SAY THIS HAPPENED IN THE PARKING LOT OF A LAUNDROMAT AND THAT IS WHY THEY ARE ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC’S HELP TONIG.HT LMPD SAYS OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE PARKING LOT OF THE STRIP MALL WHERE THE BUSINESS IS LOCATED AROUND 6:30 IN T HE EVENING FOR A REPORT OAF SHOOTING. WHEN THEY GOT THERE, THEY SAY THEY FOUND A MAN WHO WAS SHOT AT LEAST CEON HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD THE SCENE. COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND LOVED ONES OF THE VICTIMS GATHERED AT THE SCENE AS POLICE PROCESSED IT AND LOOKED FOR EVINCDE >> IT’S VERY STRESSFUL. IT’S VERY TRAUMATIC FORHE T COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHEN THEY SEE THAT. Coroner identifies man found shot to death in car in West Louisville
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the man found shot to death in a strip mall earlier this month. Authorities say he is 29-year-old Tevin Roberts. See the previous story in the player above: Louisville Metro Police Department said a call came in around 6:30 p.m. reporting a shooting in a laundromat parking lot in a strip mall located at 26th and West Broadway, where the Parkland, California, and Russell neighborhoods converge.Upon arriving on the scene, officers found a man who had been shot at least once. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Community members and loved ones of the victim gathered as police processed the scene for evidence. "It's very stressful. It's very traumatic for the community members when they see that," Major Mindy Vance of LMPD said. "What you see on scene are people that are wanting to know what's happening, wanting to know what's going on and of course, that's why we're here to talk about it and of course ask for their help in regards to this if they can give us any information."Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous Crime Tip Hotline at 502-574-5673 or use the online Crime Tip Portal.
