Mega bucks buys home sweet beach home

Chicago investor paid $5.1 million cash for a four-bedroom, six-bath gulf front house on Perdido Key, FL. according to Tucker Shaver of Signature Properties, who represented the seller. The 5,150-square-foot mansion sits on more than an acre and boasts 100 front feet on the gulf. The fully furnished home features a large entertainment media room, a fitness center, a home office and all the bells and whistles such as a chef’s kitchen with built-in Wolf oven, porcelain floors in the main areas, and an outdoor dining/living space on a large covered deck. Custom built in 2015, the buyer will use it as a second home. Tim Arant of Re/Max of Gulf Shores represented the buyer.

Azalea Manor, a former event venue for weddings, parties and receptions, at 751 Dauphin St., in downtown Mobile, was purchased for $1.425 million and will be renovated for Irby Properties corporate office, according to Josh W. Hall of CRE Mobile, who represented the buyer. Jared Irby of Irby Properties will move the company office into the 7,727-square-foot building. Niki Coker of CRE Mobile represented the seller.

An out-of-town investor paid $450,000 for a 5,729-square-foot building at 265 Azalea Road, just south of Airport Boulevard, in Mobile, and plans to renovate it for future retail use, according to Robert Cook of Vallas Realty, who handled the transaction.

Local investors paid $198,400 for a 2,200-square-foot condominium unit in Dauphin Center Office Plaza at 2864 Dauphin St., in Mobile, according to Pratt Thomas of Merrill P. Thomas Co., who represented the buyers. The center is a three-building office plaza between Premier Medical and Spire Energy. The unit is currently leased to Lindamood-Bell Learning Center. Marietta Urquhart of White-Spunner Realty represented the seller.

A local investor paid $280,000 for a 1,910-square-foot former dental office at 6410 Grelot Road in Mobile and plans to renovate it for office and or retail, according to Robert Cook of Vallas Realty.

A local investor paid $1.4 million for 2.1 acres at 409 Airport Road near Interstate 110 and Davis Highway in Pensacola, Fl., according to Darryl Bonner and Kyle Knight of Stirling Properties.
