The Pella City Council approved a referendum date to extend the Local Option Sales and Service Tax. City Administrator Mike Nardini says the public will have the chance to vote on the extension of the levy currently in place. This time, the funds would be used to finance a new indoor recreation facility, either construction or renovation of the Pella Community Center, and other quality of life projects. The public vote will be held on Tuesday, September 13th.
